Summer Adventures Camp
Glenwood Country Day School's Summer Adventure Camp offers many different opportunities for campers to learn, grow and have fun all summer long. Our professional staff and low staff-to-camper ratio allows each child to have the most fun in a safe, supervised environment. We limit our enrollment to be the "Best Small Camp" in Howard County. Our beautiful forty acre campus includes a swimming pool, sand pit volleyball court, soccer and lacrosse field, basketball court, playground and lots of opportunities to explore nature and the environment in the cool and refreshing woods. In addition, we have ample indoor space to accommodate our campers in periods of severe weather.

Glenwood Country Day School is the premier camp destination in Howard County for children ages 2 to 12. With more than thirty wooded acres, our degreed staff will excite and inspire your child in a small, safe and nurturing environment. This summer our traditional day camp is called "Around the World in 55 Days". Through sports, games, nature, music, science, literature, swimming and hands-on imagination, your child will make new friends and explore the world. For a small additional fee your child can add on a specialty camp. This summer the choices are Puppetry, Cooking, Kite Making and Computer Lab.

All summer programs run daily from 9:00am - 3:00pm and offer children between the ages of 2 and 12 an opportunity to utilize the pool, sand-pit volleyball court, computers, air-conditioned classrooms, playing fields and other outdoor amenities. Extended day programs are available from 7:00am - 6:00pm.
Swim lessons are also available during the summer.

$180.00 per week (no extra fee for extended day, 7 to 6)
If your child was one of our Summer Adventure Campers in years past, he/she had fun with a variety of indoor and outdoor fun activities. This year we have added many more NEW adventures with the theme "Around the World in 55 Days". We will explore and enjoy our surroundings while learning everything about the world around us. Four Specialty Camp Choices
(Ages 4 to 12) For only $30.00 more per week you can add on a specialty camp. - (Total -$205.00 per week)
Puppetry: Explore the world of puppetry. Puppets are fun to make and create. Challenge your imagination and watch your puppets come to life.
Computer Camp: The future of today's children depends upon their understanding of and ability to use technology. Our certified teachers and special programs provide students, ages 4 to 11, with life-long learning skills in an exciting and challenging environment. Computer Camp gives students a chance to learn together in small groups. Specialized curriculum actively involves lessons in math, science, critical thinking, problem solving and physics. We challenge children to apply what they learn.
Cooking Camp: 5-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds will take a culinary journey around the world. This ideal hands-on and interactive cooking class will explore cooking techniques, the use of a variety of kitchen tools, follow recipes, learn basic nutrition and food safety. Take home recipes to share and, of course, eat yummy foods!
Kite-Making Camp: This camp will introduce your child to a brief history of kite design and kite history from around the world. They will design and build a kite of their own. Culminating in a field trip to the Glenwood Park where they will get to fly their newly built kite. As well as, have the opportunity to fly a professional stunt kite.
