Elementary School Division

The Elementary School, academic levels first through sixth grade, provides a progressive child-centered program in which students actively engage in the learning process. Our outstanding curriculum allows students to develop to their fullest potential by being grouped by ability and not by age in the areas of reading and math.

Throughout the day, children at Glenwood Country Day school are placed in groups of similar learning styles and levels of competency where they feel comfortable and are able to succeed. This is made possible by the fact that throughout the grades, reading, language, arts, and math are taught at the same time, allowing children to move to different levels for specific subjects.
