Welcome to Glenwood Country Day School, where your child's education is personalized and based on ability not age.

Amazing things happen when people care. In 1986, a woman by the name Cheryl Stradling cared so much about her young daughter's education that she decided to found a school.

Over the years, the school itself has changed and grown. Yet through it all, the spirit and mission of the school have remained the same. We want each child to be prepared for, involved in, and excited about learning.

Children at Glenwood Country Day School gather in classes which are kept small so the curriculum can be developed around the needs of each child. Opportunities for cross-grade experiences help children understand that we learn from all who touch our lives, no matter the age or ability. We educate the whole child, challenging our boys and girls to develop not just as students, but also as individuals.

Our challenging child-centered academic program emphasizes a strong foundation in the basics, the development of critical thinking skills, and applied problem solving. The core curriculum is composed of language arts, math, science, and social studies. These classes work in concert with studies in art, music, computer, French and physical education. Traditional teaching methodology is mixed with use of hands on materials and manipulative's to make learning attainable for every child.

The greatest gift a parent can offer a child is the chance to discover his or her personal potential. We are proud of the opportunities we can provide along the way. What they learn at Glenwood Country Day School is learning that lasts a lifetime!

We invite you to contact the school and schedule a personal tour. Until then we know you will be impressed by our school as you tour our web site.
